Hi.

I have just installed Camera Proxy and it is working great for Axis and D-link.
But when trying to add my Hikvision cam nothing works.
I have activated secondary stream w/ MJPEG

I have tried mjpeg:
"http://user:password@<IP>/Streaming/channels/2/httppreview" and "http://<IP>/Streaming/channels/2/httppreview" w/ HTTP auth in the settings I have tried jpeg: ".../Streaming/channels/2/picture"

Plus about any URL combination for this cam I can find on the net.

I'm on FW 5.3 on the Hikvision and all the URLs above work in a browser.

What is going on here? Please help!

Best regards.

EDIT:
After a camera reboot it works (mjpeg w/ auth in settings). Must say that Hikvision is the only cam I ever have problems with (hangs frequently), love my Axis cams, never a problem :)

Hikvision's jpeg support is pretty bad, but I haven't known them to hang frequently like you describe.

When I need a jpeg from a Hikvision cam, I always use the URL format "http://192.168.0.30/Streaming/channels/1/picture" and have no trouble, although the camera won't provide more than 1 FPS via this method and if more than one client tries to pull frames from the camera this way, it can cause the camera to respond with an error message instead. That is probably what was happening. I'm guessing you opened the image in a browser, and then the camera was sending error responses to camera proxy.
